曾任东南大学国际合作处副处长,出访欧美多国担任英文翻译并参与洽谈校际合作项目; 美国Elon University 访问学者;香港城市和加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学合作项目语言指导专家;加拿大温哥华国际语言学院英文教员;英国全球有限公司(Cactus World Wide Ltd.)语言培训部语言汉语培训教员;加拿大大温哥华地区青年服务机构国际学生英语语言教员。


科研工作:

美国宾州大学学习研究中心“Get Ready To Learn”研究项目研究助理;英属哥伦比亚大学与西蒙菲沙大学合作项目(Open Conference System)软件系统项目管理员;国家外专局“高校师资外语培训”项目负责人;东南大学研究生院“探讨创一流大学研究生教育国际化的举措”课题负责人;“东南大学研究生课程双语立项资助项目”双语授课负责人之一;“探讨创一流大学研究生教育国际化的举措”的项目主持人;“985工程科技伦理与艺术”创新基地项目参与者。

Research Interests

Prof. Tao's research interests cover the fields of Applied Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, Corpus Linguistics, North America Higher Education and Western Art Design Evolution and Trend. She has published over 20 papers, compiled five English textbooks and published one monograph concerning English pragmatic teaching, second language acquisition and art design.

Biographical Information

Prof. Tao has ever been awarded with the 1st prize at Teaching Competition for Young Faculty Member at Southeast University and been conferred a honorarytitle for her outstanding contribution to Foreign Language Training Program for Teaching Faculty Member.She has ever been a director of Graduate Teaching and Research Department and a deputy director of Officefor International Cooperation at Southeast University. She has ever been engaged in international research projects as a research assistant of Get Ready to Learn Project at University of Pennsylvania of U.S.A, a research assistant of Open Conference System Project at University of BritishColumbiaof Canada, an On-line Language Specialist Tutor ofCity University of H.K, a Chinese language instructor and a visiting scholar at Elon University of U.S.A.
