I.Course Introduction
This course provides a systematic introduction of the theories and practices both domestic and abroad concerning Second Language Acquisition. By adding perspectives of cognitive principle, education, psychology and sociology, this course aims to broaden and enrich the existing foreign language learning theories and methods. And most importantly, the study of theories, the discussion of real cases from the everyday classroom, and the practice and research featured in this class, will lay down a solid theoretical and practical foundation for those students who want to be good teachers.
II.Lecturer
Mr. Li Xiaoxiang, born in March, 1957 in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu, became a professor in 1996. He chief-edited and compiled more than 30 ELT textbooks, and published more than 30 academic papers. He is the Supervisor of master students, specialized in second language acquisition, bilingual education, and ELT materials development. Currently, he is undertaking two state level research projects, three province level research projects and two Transverse R&D projects.
