I.Course Introduction
From the perspectives of sociology, folk studies, social psychology, by combining language with its living environment and culture, this course gives a brand new horizon for students to better understand and study the linguistic phenomenon. Sociolinguistics is a subject closely related to practice, as a result, students have to combine the theories they have mastered with everyday using of the language, in order to study the features of a language in different societies and cultures.

Ms. Hou Xu, associate professor, Supervisor of master students, candidates for Dr.’s degree, has published 3 academic papers, compiled more than 40 teaching materials and test guides, and undertaken several research projects.
