On March 7, 2015, three Japanese students led by Umazume keigo from Aichi Institute of Technology came to SFL (School of Foreign Languages), SEU (Southeast University) to participate a two-week exchange program which included Chinese language study and some extracurricular activities.

With the coordination of International Cooperation Department, the faculty members and students from Japanese Department made a careful arrangement for the guests in advance, including accommodation, seminar coordination, and itinerary planning. Postgraduate students from Japanese Department helped the Japanese students with their Pinyin study and tutored them in dialogue practice, arousing their great interest in Chinese language. In order to let them get a closer look at Chinese culture and taste the true flavor of Chinese language, SFL students guided these three Japanese students in their extracurricular activities which received heartfelt thanks. Students from Aichi Institute of Technology said this was a very short but fruitful trip which not only enabled them to know more about Chinese language, but also offered them a chance to experience the charm of Chinese culture.

Language is the important carrier of culture and a bridge  of International communication. This exchange program is part of a long-term cooperation between Aichi Institute of Technology and Southeast University which is beneficial for the promotion of Sino-Japanese friendship and will definitely enhance the mutual understandings between Japanese students and Chinese youth.
