At noon on April 4, a spring workshop for teaching assistants in 2019 was successfully held in the main meeting room of the School of Foreign Languages on Jiulong lake campus. The workshop was hosted by Mr. Xing Guoyuan and the agenda included the announcement of the list of outstanding teaching assistants in autumn 2018 and the selection criteria, the announcement of the list of outstanding teaching plans of teaching assistants in spring 2019, experience-sharing of excellent teaching assistants and excellent teaching plans, as well as discussion of the work of teaching assistants. The workshop was held by the Department of Public English Teaching for Graduatesof the School of Foreign Languages and about 40 teaching assistants and faculty from the department attended the workshop.

Two outstanding teaching assistants introduced their work experience and another two teaching assistants shared excellent teaching plans. All the participants discussed the current TA work, focusing on the task design, students' performance and feedback, difficulties and suggestions.
This workshop has provided a platform for teaching assistants and faculty to communicate and learn from each other, improve their work efficiency and promote the teaching quality. The teaching assistants who participated in this workshop said that the workshop helped them understand better the requirements and objectives of their work, equipped with innovative ideas and methods of teaching, and at the same time has laid a solid foundation for a better accomplishment of teaching assistants’ tasks.
