Recent days have witnessed the successful conclusion of all the FLTRP&ETIC Cup Jiangsu Province-levelfinal English contests of 2019, including Public Speaking, Writing and Reading. Organized by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press (FLTRP), these three major contests, jointly named Uchallenge or National English Challenges for College Students, have been regarded as three of the most prestigious English contests in China, attracting a large number of participants from both home and abroad.
This year has seen the public speaking contest, writing contest and reading contest held in Hohai University, Nanjing Forestry University and Nanjing Agricultural University, respectively, and over 200 participants from over 70 higher education institutions have competed in each contest..
After a series of qualifying tests, nine SEUers stood out to take part in the three province-level final contests. The following table lists the nine contestants in theprovince-level finals and the awards they have received.
