The biannual Workshop and Symposium for Teaching Assistants of English for Graduate Students was successfully held in the Lecture Hall of College of Foreign Languages on May 12th. The event was organized by the Department of English Teaching for Graduates and was chaired by Mr. Xing Guoyuan. Nearly 50 teaching assistants and faculty members from the Department attended the event.
Firstly, Mr. Xing announced the Excellent Teaching Plans of 2020 Autumn and 2021 Spring. After that, three teaching assistants shared their teaching plans to their colleagues. Zhang Xinyue and Yu Jie illustrated respectively their teaching methods on The Differences Between Chinese and English Sentence structure and Nominalization in Academic English Writing. Zhu Xiaoling shared her views and reflection on the work of TA. Finally, all teaching assistants gave feedback and suggestions.
This event is an important part of TA work, aiming at improving TAs’ working ability and providing a platform for the communication between teaching assistants and host teachers.
