Song Jindong, female, received her B.A. and M.A. in Spanish Language and Literature from Nanjing University, and her Ph.D. in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Nanjing University.
From August 2002 to July 2020, she worked in the Spanish Department of Nanjing University, and served as Deputy Director of the Department from 2014 to 2018. She visited Universidad de Alcalá from October 2004 to October 2005 with a scholarship offered by AECI of Spain. Since September 2020, she has been working as an associate professor in the School of Foreign Languages of Southeast University.
Her primary research focuses on Hispanic Linguistics and Applied Linguistics. She has published an academic book and multiple research papers in celebrated national and international journals and proceedings, including Foreign Languages and Their Teaching, Foreign Language Learning Theory and Practice, Applied Chinese Language Studies, etc. She has also translated two novels from Spanish into Chinese. She has led and is now leading various research projects supported by the National Social Science Fund of China, Jiangsu Social Science Fund, as well as the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities.
In 2023, she won the Excellent Supervisor Award at the High-Level Academic Forum for Graduate Students on Foreign Languages and Literatures (Spanish and Portuguese Language and Literature Sub-Forum), held by Beijing Foreign Studies University. In 2024, she was awarded the “Most Popular Teacher among Graduates” at Southeast University.
