Biodata
She is a professor (level 3) of Southeast University, a doctoral supervisor, supervisor for post-doctoral program, and the chief expert of the National Social Science Fund. She has been engaged in research on world cultural diversity and cross-cultural communication, actively carried out international exchanges and cooperation, and taken serving national strategies as her own responsibility. She has outstanding achievements in Sino-Russian exchanges and the dissemination of CPC’s soft power. In recent years, she has undertaken the major project of the National Social Science Fund Compilation and Research of the Files in Russia about the Education and Training Materials of the CPC’s Cadres during the Revolutionary Period(1919-1949), and other 3 general projects of the National Social Science Fund and the Chinese Academic Foreign Translation Project with grant of more than 2 million yuan. She published 4 academic works in Chinese and foreign languages (one of which is the first domestic Russian-Chinese corpus research work), 1 translated work (2 volumes, more than 1 million words), and published more than 40 papers in Chinese, English and Russian; One of these papers was published in Russian linguistics, the most prestigious journal for Slavic language research, and with citation of more than 100 times (46 times by CNKI and 40 times by CSSCI).
Service
She is Dean of European Language and Linguistics Department (Russian, French, German, Spanish) at Southeast University and responsible for master's and doctoral program of Russian Language and Linguistics. She is also responsible for discipline of Russian Language and Linguistics and develops a collaborative education model for undergraduates, masters, and doctoral students.
Teaching philosophy
1. She attaches great importance to the education of ideals and beliefs in foreign language teaching, leads the Russian language team of Southeast University to adopt the Understanding Contemporary China series of teaching materials, carries out undergraduate, master's and doctoral teaching practices, and deeply integrates ideological and moral education and Russian language teaching.
2. She abides by academic norms, explores academic issues, innovates true scholarship, and emphasizes that academic norms are the basic professional ethics and lifeline.
Honors and titles:
1. Praise from The Russian Subcommittee of the Educational Instruction Committee of China for her achievement in Russian Language Teachers Education and Development in China; The Xu Shanglong Teaching Award;
2. Her student Ren Xinzhu won the National Russian Language Competition and the ‘Yangtze River Delta's Understanding Contemporary China’ Translation Speech Competition” Excellence Award. Her student Li Danyang won the second prize in the Chinese-Belarus Cultural Translation Competition;
3. Papers by her students Cai Jiafeng, Li Jie and Lv Yujing were published in A&HC-, CSSCI-indexed journals.
Other contributions
Her research in the past five years centered on the theme of telling Chinese stories well and writing about Sino-Russian exchanges, which is specifically divided into the following three aspects: Sino-Russian academic exchanges, Sino-Russian cultural exchanges and Sino-Russian educational exchanges.
1. Sino-Russian academic exchanges:
She hosted the major National Social Science Fund project Compilation and Research of the Files in Russia about the Education and Training Materials of the CPC’s Cadres during the Revolutionary Period(1919-1949), and hosted the Chinese academic foreign translation project Russian Version of Outline of Chinese Historical Geography and the National Social Science Fund project Research on the Discourse Mechanism of Russian Database Construction and Translation of Chinese Political Discourse in the New Era. All of these are based on the translation of philosophical and social science works and Chinese political discourses, which conducts in-depth research in the fields of political history, frontiers of history as a discipline and the history of the Communist Party of China.
Main achievements: She translated the Russian version of Outline of Chinese Historical Geography (Volumes 1 and 2); cataloged Compilation of Bibliographies on Russian Tibetan Buddhism and Its Branches Written by Russian Scholars (1730-2018); 5 papers in International Sinology and other CSSCI-indexed journals and important newspapers.
Social significance: China and Russia jointly held the Seminar on the Academic Value of the Russian Version of the Outline of Chinese Historical Geography. Experts at the meeting believed that the publication of the Outline in Russian clarified conceptual issues in the study of Chinese history in the Russian-Chinese academic circle and had great significance.
2. Sino-Russian cultural exchanges:
Relying on the project of the International Department of the Ministry of Education History of Humanistic Exchanges between China and Russia, she deeply explored the first-hand historical materials of China and Russia and made a panoramic description of the Sino-Russian cultural exchanges since the 17th century. She believes that China and Russia are facing the new era. Cultural exchanges between China and Russia are an important part of the construction of community with a shared future for mankind.
Main achievements: Monograph History of Cultural Exchanges between China and Russia (17th Century to Present), 4 papers in CSSCI-indexed journals such as Russian Literature and Art.
Social significance: The monograph has been cited by CNKI more than 10 times, and the paper has been cited 17 times.
3. Sino-Russian educational exchanges:
Relying on the Southeast Academic Library Project, starting from the humanistic socio-cultural theory and ecological system theory, using qualitative methods to explore the professional ethics and qualities of the four generations of Russian teachers in New China who adhere to their beliefs and serve the country .
Main achievements: Monograph Research on the Development Environment of Russian Language Teachers in Universities in the People’s Republic of China, published 5 papers in Current Issues in Language Planning, Foreign Language Teaching, and other SSCI, A&HCI and CSSCI-indexed journals.
Social significance: Professor Liu Hong, director of the Russian Subcommittee of the National Foreign Language Teaching Committee and president of Dalian International Studies University, wrote a preface to the monograph and thought highly of it.
