CAO Xinyu (101013035@seu.edu.cn) is a professor of English with research interests in translation history and translation studies on Shakespeare’s plays, translation of pragmatic texts and translation teaching. She worked at Nanjing Agricultural University from 1997 to 2021. She has been teaching at School of Foreign Languages, Southeast University since 2021. She is now working on a National Social Science Fund Project titled Collection and Research of Historical Documents of Translation and Introduction of Foreign Theatre in the Late Qing Dynasty and Early Republic Period. Her latest works include: The Psychometric Properties of Translating Self-Efficacy Belief: Perspectives From Chinese Learners of Translation (With YANG Yanxia, Frontiers in Psychology, 2021), The Politeness of the English Equivalence of Canjirenin Public Signs (With MO Jiadong, Foreign Languages and Literatures Research by Nanjing University, 2022), Pun Translation in Shakespeare’s Plays: Mechanism, Approach and Dilemma (With FANG Jiayi, Journal of Nanjing Institute of Technology, 2022), Eco-Balance and Multi-Dimensional Integration of Translation of Universities and Colleges’ Official Websites (with WU Linying, Journal of Zhejiang International Studies University, 2023), etc.. She has recently published textbooks on English Reading and E/C translation as well as translation books in the field of international relations and traditional Chinese Agricultural Proverbs.
