About FLERC

The Foreign Language Education & Research Center (FLERC) is a division of the School of Foreign Languages at Southeast University. To meet the evolving demands of foreign language education in the current era, the center is committed to fostering top-tier innovative professionals with a global perspective, a strong sense of national responsibility, and the ability to drive change. 

The Center’s primary objectives are to improve students’ foreign language proficiency, critical thinking skills, learning abilities, and creativity, with a focus on integrating foreign language education with cutting-edge technology and AI-powered teaching methodologies.

Looking towards the future, the Center will continue to innovate in foreign language education, publishing top-quality research findings, and contributing to Southeast University’s “Double First-Class” initiative construction.


Research Interests

  • The comprehensive design and optimization of foreign language curricula, creating a comprehensive, multi-level foreign language education system that reflects Southeast University's unique characteristics; 

  • The intelligent transformation of foreign language teaching, developing a three-pronged foreign language training platform to cater to the personalized learning needs of the AI era; 

  • The growth of a high-quality teaching faculty, promoting the integration of foreign language education with other disciplines to facilitate teaching and research synergy.
