Zhao Jianhong(1963-) is Professor of English. He got his doctorate in Comparative Literature in Beijing Language University in 2007. Before coming to Southeast University, he taught in several universities including Nanjing Normal University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology and Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications. As visiting scholar, he pursued his research in 20th-century Western literary theory in Duke University, USA in 2001 and did short-term study in teaching methodology in University of British Columbia, Canada in 2011.His main areas of research cover Western literary theory and British and American literature. He is the coauthor of The East Represented: Postcolonial Theories (2011)and co-translator of the Chinese version of Freudianism and the Literary Mind(1987). Besides, a dozen of his essays on Frederic Jameson and Edward Said have appeared in some mainstream Chinese academic journals or several important edited collections on literature or literary theory.
