On Jan 24, 2015, the School of Foreign Languages (SFL) held the annual review meeting on Jiulonghu Campus of SEU. All the school leaders and faculties gathered together to discuss the plan of development for the new year.
The meeting began with the video introduction of SFL 2014, followed by a speech of Prof. Chen Meihua, dean of SFL. Chen reviewed the work in the past year on discipline construction and faculty building, TEFL research and international cooperation. She concluded the speech by proposing the macro goals for the year ahead.
The dean also disclosed the financial revenues and expenditures of the school so as to guarantee financial transparency.
At the meeting the four new members of school leadership elaborated their three-year plan, including how to deepen specialty reform, enhance resource sharing, promote academic research and strengthen international collaboration.
Prof. Li Xiaoxiang, director of SEU’s Development Center for Faculty and Teaching, was invited to attend the meeting. He expressed congratulations on the setting up of new leadership of SFL and hoped that all the faculty members could bring their talent into full play in the coming year.
Ma Qiang, secretary of School Party Committee, expressed his thankfulness in the concluding remark to all the faculties for the achievements they had made. He also encouraged them to make more progress in 2015.
