一、课程介绍
本课程分三个教学板块：a)科技翻译简史及其翻译理论；b)科技翻译难点及翻译技巧应用实践；c)机器翻译及计算机辅助翻译理论与实践。课程旨在基于国内外主流翻译理论及翻译研究成果来指导科技翻译实践，并力求使学生通过实践攻克科技翻译难点，提高翻译水平；与此同时，还将介绍国内外电子化翻译的最新动态，并让学生通过上机实践来熟练掌握机器翻译与计辅翻译的操作方法，以应对新时代的挑战。

四、主讲教师简介：
外语学院英语教授，硕士生导师。男，1957年10月出生。1990年研究生毕业于西安交通大学语言学与应用语言学专业；研究方向：科技英语、科技翻译、机器翻译与计算机辅助翻译等。1983-1985年曾随中国医学专家组出国赴桑给巴尔任翻译两年。近年来在《外语教学与研究》、《中国翻译》、《中国科技翻译》、《中国教育理论杂志》、《外语与翻译》、《东南大学学报〈社科版〉》等学术刊物上发表研究论文60多篇；主编或合作编辑出版专著或教材15部。其中代表作有: “EST发展轨迹探析”、“试论科技翻译语义引申”、“论科技英语篇章修辞”、“英语预指代词译法”、“否定转移及其语义与语用翻译”、“试论第二语言习得理论基于的五项假说”、《高级英语教程》等。此外，近年来还在《知识就是力量》、《新华文摘》、《英语世界》、《大学英语》、《科技英语学习》、《环球》、《国外科技动态》等杂志上发表译文70多篇。1996年获东南大学优秀青年骨干教师称号；2001年获江苏省高校教学改革一等奖；2002-2003学年获“台扬科技奖教金”。2003-2004主持并完成东南大学研究生优秀英语课程教改项目；2003-2004参加并协作完成江苏省研究生优秀英语课程教改项目。
