东南大学外国语学院目前是国际英语语言测试系统（IELTS，即雅思）南京考试中心、ETS TOEFL(托福)考试考点、美国研究生入学考试(GRE)考点、国际日本语能力测试（JLPT）江苏省考点、实用日本语鉴定（J-TEST）考点、韩国语能力考试（TOPIK）考点、全国出国培训备选人员外语考试（BFT）江苏省考试培训中心、全国翻译专业(口译)资格考试考点、全国大学英语四、六级考试江苏省口语考试中心、江苏省日语自学考试主考单位。
        多年来，外国语学院凭借自身的师资和科研实力，为江苏省内外教育和企事业单位提供了各类外语培训和咨询。培训内容涵盖英、日、德、法各语种的培训。并提供商务文献、资料的翻译，以及商务活动的口译等对外服务。

An Overview of the Exams and Training Center
 
  SFL is the host university for the Self-Study Examination of Japanese, JPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test), J.TEST, BFT (Business Foreign Language Test), IELTS (International English Language Testing System), CATTI (China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters) and Oral English Test for CET-4 (College English Test) and CET-6 (College English Test) in Jiangsu Province of China.
   
  Taking advantage of its own high quality teaching and research power, SFL has provided a variety of training programs of foreign languages and consultation, covering such a wide range as preparatory training for IELTS, the Written Test and Oral Test of CET-4 and CET-6, New Concept English, JPT, training for German and French from the elementary level to the advanced level for a large number of institutions and enterprises. In addition, it also offers services of translation for commercial literature and interpretation for commercial activities.
   
  Based on its superior teaching and research resources, SFL will continue providing high quality training of foreign languages for all walks of the society. Moreover, a variety of full-time courses, part-time courses, long-term and short-term courses are also available under the circumstances.
